Experience

Dr. Alireza acts as the CEO of Widuz. With a PhD in Architecture and Construction from ETH Zurich and an illustrious background as Project Coordinator at the ETH-Singapore Future Cities Laboratory for more than  8 years, Dr. Alireza is currently engaged in research partnerships with various industrial partners and also KIT University to expand Widuz’ presence in the European Markets.

In addition to his already impressive research and academic background in Architecture, Dr. Alireza also holds two Masters’ degrees in Engineering (Structural and Civil) from the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technology University, respectively, on top of an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK. His passion is to develop alternate sustainable materials from renewable sources such as Bamboo and other by-products of waste to replace conventional non-renewable materials such as concrete and steel with his strong research and business background.

Future Cities Lab (FCL) Global is a research collaboration between ETH Zurich and the Singapore universities – National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) – with support from the National Research Foundation (NRF). It operates under the auspices of the Singapore-​ETH Centre (SEC).
