Widuz at DBS Regenerative Festival 2025
17 September 2025 | Singapore
Widuz was proud to participate in the DBS Regenerative Festival 2025, an event that spotlights regenerative solutions and brings together innovators, businesses, and policymakers committed to building a sustainable future.
For Widuz, the Festival was an opportunity to showcase our mission of re-engineering one of the world’s most regenerative resources — bamboo — into high-performance, low-carbon composites. From BVL™ (Bamboo Veneer Lumber) to engineered solutions for construction, interiors, and furniture, our materials are designed to be stronger than timber, lighter than steel, and significantly lower in carbon footprint.
As sustainability leaders including Dr Janil Puthucheary and Tan Su Shan underscored the importance of regenerative practices, Widuz highlighted how bamboo can play a central role in this transformation. Unlike traditional timber, bamboo reaches maturity in just 3–5 years, offering unmatched scalability while capturing carbon and regenerating ecosystems.
Our participation at the Festival also reinforced the importance of collaboration. By engaging with more than 300 SMEs, corporates, and solution providers, Widuz deepened connections that can help accelerate adoption of bamboo composites at scale.
At Widuz, we believe the future of materials is regenerative by design — and bamboo stands as a natural solution to decarbonize and reimagine the built environment.
About the DBS Regenerative Festival
DBS Regenerative Festival is an initiative by DBS Bank to raise awareness, inspire, and connect stakeholders in regenerative practices. It focuses particularly on helping small- and medium-enterprises integrate sustainable business models, accelerate uptake of regenerative procurement, and promote innovation across materials, supply chains, and operational design. The 2025 Festival also served to open the doors to DBS’s new alternate site, DAG, showcasing regenerative design in action.
